Living Arts is hosting a Call for Animated Films for the annual Tulsa International Animation Festival. Artists should provide submissions no later than February 16, 2017 at 5:00pm. The show is being curated by festival founder, Mery McNett.
The Tulsa International Animation Festival is one of the largest animation festivals in the region and features animated films from around the globe. Past festivals have featured submissions from Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Hungary, Thailand and more. Please visit the Living Arts website for more information. The Classen Ten Penn Neighborhood Association, in collaboration with Current Studio, the City of Oklahoma City’s Strong Neighborhoods Initiative OKC and the Mid-America Arts Alliance is hosting an artist call for the Classen Ten Penn Street Art Initiative, a public art project aimed at beautifying the Class Ten Penn Neighborhood.
The project will include three intersection murals, each with a $7,000.00 budget, and an artistic bike rack with a $3,600.00 budget. The submission deadline is December 1, 2017. Classen Ten Penn Neighborhood Association is hosting an Artist Forum and Information Meeting Monday, November 13, 2017 at 6pm. Interested artist can RSVP here. This meeting is an opportunity for prospective artists to meet the community, learn more about the project, and receive additional information about the public art process from City of OKC officials.
